From Zero to Fluency

I was brought up to believe that Russians were my worst enemy. They're not. We might not agree with the actions of their government, but that could be said of just about any country. Now when I think of Russia, I think of Tolstoy, Tchaikovsky, Pushkin, Pasternak, Peace and Realism. True heroism. The course is a revelation. We should love our enemy, and in so doing, become their friend.

Understanding Russia by Daria Molchanova is a masterfully crafted course, perfect for anyone looking to dive into the Russian culture. Its interactive lessons, engaging content, and Daria's passionate teaching make it not just educational but truly enjoyable. The course breaks down the barriers of Russian Culture learning, making it accessible, fun, and highly effective.

I learned some amazing facts about Russia. I did not realize so many different languages were spoken or that there were so many different ethnic groups. I was very interested in the architecture of the wooden churches and I ended up doing more research about those churches. The varying climates were also very interesting. I had no idea that there were palm trees in Russia. I have visited Russia and I am very anxious to learn more about its culture and history. I found Daria’s presentation very easy to follow and it was very informative. Her passion for Russia was very obvious. I will never forget that the flag is white, blue, and red. I am looking forward to learning more about the social history of Russia. I highly recommend this course. I am planning on going to Russia as soon as possible. I am pleased that Daria will have taught me important facts about Russia that I will be able to discuss with my Russian friends.

I had been looking around for an introduction to Russian culture course for awhile, and from the moment I read the course outline I knew this was it! So I preordered the course and could not wait for it to open. Daria has done an amazing job with the course's layout. She provides you with the perfect amount of information to satisfy your surface level curiosity and then gives you the resources to take a deeper dive on your own. Which is exactly what I wanted, the tools to do more exploring. But as an added bonus, she also provides resources in Russian too! Such as books, articles and movies/TV series. I love it because it's helped solidify the language even more as I continue to learn. I can't recommend this course enough, especially for anyone who's simply looking to know a little more about Russia.
